Our customer had a technically hopeless outdated online shop based on the osCommerce shop system. The shop was very heavily modified and adapted to the customer's workflow and was very similar to the original shop system. There, the orders were both recorded and settled. In the online shop almost all exhausts are offered, which were produced with a TÜV approval or an EC-type approval.


Because of long-term adjustments, the maintenance of the old shop and its care was very expensive and error prone. We should develop a new modern online shop, which should offer the end customer better usability, faster load times, a modern responsive design. The new shop should meet SEO requirements and take into account numerous customer-specific features in the functionality, so that customers can only buy suitable products. The order processing should also be done in the new online shop.


The customer chose OXID eShop. This shop system is modern, fast and above all extremely flexible in terms of customization and functional enhancements. Our solution meets all customer requirements. In order to avoid the Ranking problems with Google, the decision was made to launch the new shop parallel to the old one. Therefore a connector to the old shop was developed. The data between the two is synchronized fully automatically. In the new shop you can sort products by price, manufacturer and product type. Alternatively, there is a search field at the top left for free text input. Due to the store's large warehouse, many products can be shipped directly and quickly. Here you can simply select the appropriate car model in the filter, so that only the appropriate products are displayed to facilitate the selection for the end customer.
